Welcome to the Department of Information Technology at M.H.Saboo Siddik College of Engineering. The department was established in the year 2001-2002 with the intake of 30 students. Since the establishment, the department has progressed from offering excellent teaching, hands-on Lab training using latest softwares and hardware for different courses, exposure to projects in industry like Mastek, TIFR, CDAC,IMAPG etc . Department has well qualified and dedicated faculties who also mentor the students for academics, competitions etc. The placement of Department of Information Technology is excellent with large numbers of students cracking multinational companies like LTI, TCS, Wipro, Teradata etc with excellent packages. We have number of students who have bagged awards in Smart India Hackathon , ACM Mumbai Hackathon etc.

Department is always keen to impart high quality education along with industry internship, workshops and outhouse projects. Department strives for the holistic development of students by conducting different types of Co-Curricular and Extra-Curricular Activities. Department has MHSSCOE ACM Chapter where students get the platform to enhance their leadership and managerial skills and to work for technical, cultural and social responsibilities towards society. We ensure the best career opportunities and exciting college life with high quality technical education at Dept. of Information Technology.

The best part of being in IT department was my professors because they always supported and encouraged every new idea that we thought of. In these 4 years I got essential guidance from all my professors in every aspect such as personality development, handling situations, career and many more. All of these things were important as it gave me opportunities to learn, improvise, build my career path, have clearity about things like how it works when you go to real world or working for an industry.

First year is being full of enthusiasm and the excitement about entering the engineering life. My journey of the First year in IT department was full of surprises. Handling the pressure of various subjects and submissions was one different experience. It made me learn how to be responsible and be punctual. But with the help of the faculties and the guidance, the year went very smoothly. There were always ups and downs and the tension of scoring which apparently is one of the challenges for the Freshers. But at the end it was one of the most nerve wracking experiences.

The various events held at our college reflected the intensity of bonding among us. I had a splendid experience as a student of the Department of Information Technology at MHSSCE. All our professors are extremely knowledgeable, dedicated and co-operative, and they’re always eager to help us in our times of need. They’re kind enough to each and every student. They don’t differentiate between anyone and so we always felt like we had their affection showered on us equally. Overall, the engineering life has been very smooth for me at MHSSCE.
