The Department of ‘Electronics Engineering’ was established in 1986 with the conversion of the then existing Industrial Engineering Department. The sanctioned intake of this department is 60 since its inception. Over decades we have been consistently striving to make our department a centre for excellence by upgrading the infrastructure as well as promoting staff to carry out research and continuously upgrade themselves. The department has highly motivated, technically excellent and well experienced faculties in research, academia and industry fields. Our faculty is constantly upgrading their educational qualifications with 2 faculties holding a PHD degree and 4 faculties pursuing PHD’s from reputed institutes under Mumbai University. To upgrade their technical skills, our Faculties frequently attend workshops and training sessions conducted by premier institutes like IIT’s. Many faculties have successfully completed NPTEL courses which are offered jointly by IIT’s and HRD ministry under ELITE category. The department has large, well equipped laboratories, high tech computers with latest software and high speed internet facility.

The IEEE student’s chapter has been flourishing under the coordination of one of the most efficient experienced faculty of our department since its inception. This society has carried out innumerable technical workshops, seminars, lectures from Industry experts, industrial visits and tech-fest events that helped students not only increase their technical skills but also helped them learn efficient management and team work.

The Department is, over the years consistently involved in organizing technical seminars and workshops and industrial visits for students of all years so as to update them about latest technologies and industry requirements which gives them an edge over the others during technical aptitude and interviews during placements.

The Department has produced large number of highly accomplished Alumni who have been working at top positions in reputed companies in India and Abroad. Many Alumni have reached pinnacles in research and have been working as faculties in reputed Universities abroad.

The students of our department have consistently won many inter-collegiate and national events (both technical and non-technical) every year. Many of Our students get placed in on-campus recruitments in reputed companies like LTI, TCS, and Cognizant etc. Our department produces excellent results every year with many students achieving a 9 pointer under CBGS scheme.

The department recently received a grant of 9 lakhs seventy thousand rupees from AICTE under MODROB. In short, the department has a rich blend of academic and professional excellence that constantly helps it climbing the ladder of success.

  • Demonstrate an ability to identify, formulate and solve electronic engineering problem and will be able to design electrical, electronic systems with analysis and experiments.


On completion of program graduate

  • Should be able to clearly understand the concepts and applications in the field of communication/networking, signal processing, embedded systems, VLSI technology in order to solve real world problems.
  • Should have the capability to comprehend the technological advancements in the usage of modern design tools to analyze and design subsystems/processes for a variety of applications.
  • Should posses the skills to communicate and present, in both oral and written forms, the work already done and the future plans with necessary road maps. While demonstrating the practice of professional ethics and the concerns for societal and environmental well-being.
